I am really excited about this research. I have been a physiotherapy educator, clinician, and researcher for a long time, but it didn’t take me long to realise that as physiotherapists working in community-based rehabilitation our primary role is the support, hope and confidence we provide people to live well the lives they wish.
And that is what this research is all about - finding out from people living with long-term health conditions/impairments and their communities how they feel they can be best supported to live well. Then evaluating these ways so that we can persuade health organisations to included them in their health deliveries to benefit others. That would be my wish for a “well” outcome of this research.
